HOW TO MAKE PERFUME LAST LONGER
What’s the secret to make your perfume last longer? It’s not a secret – it’s science! Here are the Dos and Don’ts on how to keep your fragrance fresher for longer.
1. Don’t Apply Perfume to Wet Skin!
To make your perfume last longer, apply it directly after taking a bath or shower. Make sure your skin is dry then spritz it onto moisturised skin.
2. Moisturise Your Skin
A well-moisturised skin holds the scent longer – for best results, apply your fragrance after moisturising your skin. Use an unscented cream or body lotion, or you can apply a hint of Vaseline to your wrists before a spritz.
3. Target Your Pulse Points
Apply your perfume to pulse points on the body, including the wrists, between the clavicles, behind the ears, on the fold of the elbows, or behind the knees.
4. Spray on Skin, Not Clothes!
When spraying your fragrance, hold the bottle 5-7 inches away from your body to allow it to permeate into the skin. Try to avoid spraying the scent onto your clothes to avoid stains.
5. Don’t Rub the Wrists!
Never massage perfume into your wrists after spraying it on your pulse points. Instead, let the fragrance dry naturally on your skin.
